西尾の抹茶を知る「西尾おもてなし大学」Learn History of Nishio Matcha

●1月20日（水）、定時制3年生が「西尾おもてなし大学」（西尾市主催事業）を受講しました。茶道に親しみ、西尾市の歴史について学びます。

●生徒たちは作法室で、茶室への入り方や茶菓子や抹茶の頂き方など、茶道の所作を学びました。また、講義では西尾市の抹茶産業の歴史や、西尾ブランドの海外進出についても学ぶことができました。

●地域の文化に親しみ、学ぶ、とてもよい機会となりました。

On January 20th(Wed), 3rd graders had a lecture called  “Nishio OMOTENASHI college”.  The goal of the lecture is to get to know about tea ceremony and learn the history of Nishio city. Students learned how to enter the tea room and how to have tea confectionery and matcha tea at the school tea room.  Also they studied about the history of matcha industry in Nihio and its promotion toward abroad. The lecture was a great experience for them to know the culture of Nishio and learn about it.
