地域の国際化セミナーin西尾 To live together, Internationalization Seminar in Nishio
●2月9日（日）、西尾市の鶴城ふれあいセンターで「地域の国際化セミナーin西尾」が開かれました。外国ルーツ住民が増加する西尾市で、市民同士が共生を考えるセミナーです。
●基調講演では、愛知淑徳大学の小島祥美先生から、「外国ルーツの子どもの教育実践から」と題してお話がありました。日本語指導が必要な児童生徒数は、愛知県が全国で1位です。高校の中退率は全高校生が約100人に1人なのに対し、日本語指導が必要な生徒は約10人に1人です。
●本校定時制からも、ブラジルにルーツをもつ生徒と、インドネシアにルーツをもつ生徒が参加しました。ブラジルにルーツをもつ生徒は、参加者の通訳もつとめ、「ポルトガル語がわかっていないと、日本語も出てこない。母語はとても大切だと思う。」などと話していました。
On February 9th(Sun), an internationalization seminar in Nishio was held at Tsurushiro Fureai Center. Nishio is one of the cities in which foreign residents are increasing year by year. It is a seminar to think about how Japanese residents and foreign residents live together.
The first lecturer was Pro.Yoshimi KOJIMA from Aichi Shukutoku University. She said that Aichi is the top prefecture which has students who need Japanese language education in Japan. Highschool dropouts are about one person out of 100 for all high school students on the other hand about ten out of 100 for the students who need Japanese language education.
Two of our students attended the seminar, one is a Brazilian and the other is an Indonesian. The Brazilian boy interpreted Japanese for other Brazilian participants. He said that it is very important to know and understand Portuguese to interpret Japanese.
