日本語ボランティアをしよう！ Help kids to study Japanese!

●定時制の夏休みには、各教員が講座を開く「夏の総合学習」があります。７月２８日（日）には、西尾市総合福祉センターで、外国籍の小中学生のために日本語ボランティアをする企画がありました。

●６名の生徒が参加し、夏休みの宿題を手伝います。子どもたちは、漢字の書き順や、計算問題、作文などを手伝ってもらい、はにかみながらもうれしそうでした。生徒たちも、はじめは遠慮がちでしたが、しだいに慣れ、積極的に子どもたちに声をかけていました。

During summer vacation, each teachers hold a workshop for students.  On July 28th(Sun) , students took part in ” Japanese Teaching Volunteer ” for foreign kids at Nishio Sogo Fukushi center.   Six students joined the study meeting and helped kids to do their summer homework.  Children worked on kanji practice, calculation, essay writing, and so on. They looked happy to be helped by the students.  Students talked to them shyly at first but got used to in no time and enjoyed teaching.
